Here is a look back at a kitchen makeover that I did a few years ago and that I still love. I have a much better camera now than I did then. But, thought this makeover was still worth sharing despite the bad photography! A space that started out as an ugly duckling, turned into a french country dream…
Existing cabinets were painted a creamy tone and bead board was added to the island and cabinet sides.
Additional trim was installed underneath cabinets to add length and hide new under cabinet lighting. A new light fixture with fun shades added to the french country charm.
New shiny appliances kept it modern and painted bead board covered up the old back splash.
A warm golden tone was added to the walls and beautiful gold granite replaced old formica.
Beautiful silk window treatments, black granite, new drawer pulls and faucet help pull the look together.
A bookcase was added to the existing island, the new larger island was wrapped in bead board and chunky trim was added. The end result was a light, bright yet warm and welcoming french country kitchen! Psst…I recently started this little design blog and I have so much more to share, please consider following me 🙂
