I love furniture! Acquiring a new piece for my home or a client’s home makes me happy! Everything about the process of searching for a new piece is like a little adventure for me. Today, I’d like to share with you one of my favorite pieces. It was love at first site and I knew that we were meant to be together! This piece alone spearheaded a mini makeover for a good portion of my first floor. We have a very wide foyer/hall leading from the front door back to the family room. I had been wanting to have a built-in put in to function as a bar/serving area for some time. After having a few contractors come in to look at my built-in design, I thought I was well on my way to getting the job done. Then, while cruising the web, I came across none other than Paula Deen’s furniture site and her gorgeous bar armoire. I had to have it! Done and done! Bye, bye contractor man!
The painted finish is an antiqued/weathered blue-green tone.
Deep shelves on the door are so useful for holding little treats or olives, fruit slices and stirrers during a party. I keep different treats in these footed holders that I made. Find out how here.
The opposite door has a chalkboard to write fun messages on and a bottle opener!
Lower cabinet for wine storage…perfect! The other cabinet is able to house a small wine refrigerator.
The color is just gorgeous, but the design is what really stood out for me. It truly is beautiful and functional.
We like that we can write welcoming messages on the chalkboard for guests to see when they enter our home. Quite often it simply say’s “Welcome Yáll”. Which is what I think Paula would most likely write on hers.
The bar is closed! hehe! Thanks for stopping by. Cheers!
