I know that a cookie recipe really has nothing to so with stylish interiors. However, if you are entertaining this holiday season, you may want to try this cookie recipe. They are so elegant set out on a white or silver dish. I made them a few weeks ago and everyone loved them! They were also fun to make!!
You will need to line your baking sheets with foil or parchment paper. Drop by level teaspoons about 3 inches apart. Spread thinkly with buttered rubber spatula.
Here is how they look after they are baked…
Spread with chocolate. I like to use a paint brush. Make sure it is not spread too thick or they will be more difficult to bite into.
You will then add a cookie on top to form a lace sandwich! Set back on lined baking sheet to set up.
They really are pretty and yummy too!
Here is the recipe in full…

2 cups semi sweet chocolate chips
Melt buter and cool slightly. Stir in oats, sugar, flour, corn syrup, milk, vanilla & salt. Mix well. Drop by level teaspoon, 3 inches apart (they will really spread) onto lined baking sheet. Spread thinly with greased rubber spatula.
Bake at 375 for 6 – 8 minutes or until light golden brown. Cool and then peel from lined baking sheet.
Melt chocolate chips over double boiler and stir until smooth.
