Good morning! I hope you had a fun weekend. We had great weather here in NC with low humidity, finally! So, it was time to do some spray painting! I wanted to create a neutral Fall mantle, but with a touch of bling. I was inspired by these antique mercury glass pumpkins from Pottery Barn. But, didn’t want to pay the PB price of $39 each! Yikes!
I knew I could make my own, just needed to find the glass pumpkins in the right size. While picking up some things at Walmart, I came across glass pumpkin candy jars for the low, low price of $4.97 each! I already had some Krylon Looking Glass spray paint from another project. That really beats paying the PB price!
So, out to the yard we went for the spray painting…
And, the spraying of the vinegar solution…and the drying, and the second coat of spray paint. All in all it was an hour total.
And, I achieved this! For a full step-by-step mercury glass tutorial, see my post on Holiday Mercury Glass here.
My Neutral Fall mantle is done and I’m hoping to have time for a photo shoot today! Will be sharing later this week!
