Slowly but surely I am returning to the blog-o-sphere! If someone would have told me in the beginning what a huge time commitment blogging was, I would have pegged them as a whiner! So, I found out for myself that not only does it take loads of time to blog, but you also need additional time to network, pin on Pinterest, update your Facebook page, Tweet, photograph stuff, optimize your blog, purchase your domain, come up with new ideas, keep on top of trends, network some more, and tons more stuff that I can’t even think of! My little blog was moving along nicely and gaining readership at a great pace! And then the holidays, my life and a couple of design jobs got in the way!
It’s kind of like going to the gym…once you stop going, it’s soooo much easier not to start up again! So, please be patient with me while I try to get going again with my design blog. I thought you all might like to see some before and after shots of a breakfast room that I recently completed…
The before: a table that was too small in scale, builder’s white paint, a mini rug and an unfortunate chandelier weren’t doing this room any favors! We decided to go with butter, orange and green tones to really warm this space up!
New buttery paint! Beautiful artwork, a fun rug and a new chandelier start the transformation! I wish I would have taken a photography class before I took the after pictures!
A gorgeous custom hand-distressed Canadel table and matching chairs came next…
This cozy little room was finished off with two parsons chairs in a fun green geometric print and buttery window treatments to soften the window…The chandelier was eventually lowered to the correct height.
Pretty and Stylish!
Now, off I go to read my new camera’s manual and sign up for a photography class!
