This year I wanted a more subtle, neutral Fall decor. Not that I don’t enjoy the traditional Autumn tones, I was just interested in something a little fresher looking. So, I painted my existing orange pumpkins a creamy white, used dried beans, old books, two DIY mercury glass pumpkins and a couple of super cute owls that I recently found at the cutest little antique shop.
The mirror above the mantle is really “bling-y” in a subtle way. And, a really big challenge to overcome when doing photo shoots. It reflects the ceiling fan which really should be a chandelier, but Mr. Stylish insists on a fan! Sooo, I must shoot at an angle.
The two mercury glass pumpkins added a little more bling. I did a post on DIY Mercury Glass Pumpkins, if you’d like to make your own.
These little mercury glass balls are actually battery operated string lights from Big Lots! I was tickled pink when I found them!
Now, I’m off to re-do my front door Fall wreath to fit in with my more neutral fall decor. One project tends to roll into another around here! Speaking of projects, look for a post soon on an awesome kitchen island paint project! Don’t forget to stop back on Friday for the Stylish Friday Finds linky party!
